Recruitment Notice


The department of Saemaul Studies and International Development (DSSID) at Yeungnam University is seeking a qualified, English speaking Assistant Professor in the area of, or related to Saemaul development, international development, multi-culture, communication, and Korean development. The DSSID is located at the Gyeongsan campus.


1. Job Title: International Professor of Education.


2. Qualification Requirements

-  Foreign nationals (including overseas Koreans)

- A Master’ degree or a Ph.D holder with 4 years and more experience in education and/or research

- Must be able to teach in English

- Fluent Korean-speaking ability to be able to teach in Korean is preferred


3. Period of Contract

- March 1, 2024 to February 29, 2025, Renewal every year after evaluation.


4. Teaching Load

- 9 credit hours per week across a 15 week semester in both the spring and fall semesters for a total of 18 credit hours per year.


5. Salary & Benefits

- Professors are paid according to Yeungnam University regulations.


6. Documents to be submitted

  3.   c. Final diploma (master or doctoral) must be apostilled or consular confirmed 
  4.   d. Transcripts (Bachelor, Master's, Doctorate)
  5.   e. Proof of work experience certificates for ALL university teaching/research experience 
  6.    f. Copy of Passport / Alien registration card (front/back)
  7.   g. Research performance and list (submitted as applicable)
  •         ●  Master’s or Ph.D. thesis: Send copies of cover and table of contents
  1.   h. Copy of personal photo (jpg file)

Additional Notes
